Rev. Joe A. Jackson
 
Rev. Joe A. Jackson has given his life in service to God.  He is kind, caring, gentle and friendly.  His love and concern for people is demonstrated through his many acts of kindness.
 
Rev. Jackson was born January 3rd in Cairo, Illinois.  He is one of nine children born to the late Carl and Barbara Jackson.  He has attended the following schools for Religious Education.  Louisiana Baptist College, Pineville, La., North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, NC. and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Church Ministries from Mount Olive College, Mount Olive, NC, on May 10, 2003.  He is presently enrolled in the Master’s Divinity Degree Program at Campbell University Divinity School.
Rev. Jackson has served four churches as Pastor and as an Associate Minister.
 
He was Associate Minister at the Second Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Boyce, LA., St. Matthew Baptist Church, Boyce, LA., Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Goldsboro, NC, and Pastor of the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, Pineville, LA.  Rev. Jackson holds the rant of Master-Sergeant Retired in the United States Air Force.  As a member of the Armed Forces, he received many plaques, medals and awards, namely medals for serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  He was named the Senior NCO for that year and served on the Council for the Ordination of Ministers.  He presently serves as Pastor of Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Goldsboro, NC, the 2nd Vice-Moderator of the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association, Instructor for the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Academy, CLIFF Ministerial Organization, Concerned Clergy of Goldsboro, NAACP, Volunteer Chaplain at Wayne Memorial Hospital, the Blue Ribbon Commission, President of the Minister’s Council of the General Baptist State Convention of NC, Inc., and the Secretary for the Moderator's Auxiliary of the Southeast Region's National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
 
Rev. Jackson is married to Sister Jacqueline Texada Jackson.  They are the parents of four children:  Jeremy, Carl, Christin and Latonya.  The grandparents of Ahlea, Niya, Jahnari, Shayla, Abram, Isabella, Ethan and Elijah.  TaLisa Jackson and Stephanie Jackson, daughter-in-laws and Jason Dickens, son-in-law.
